This blog has been put together by the Alcohol Advisory Council of New Zealand (ALAC) and is intended as a pilot site at this stage to allow comments on articles which appear in its magazine alcohol.org.nz. 

ALAC’s Magazine

ALAC’s magazine, Alcohol.org.nz is published quarterly.

It includes articles on a variety of alcohol-related topics from around Aotearoa New Zealand. It also covers what’s happening within ALAC and the communities we work with.

Who We are

The Alcohol Advisory Council of New Zealand (ALAC) was established in 1976 by Act of Parliament, following a reportby the Royal Commission of Inquiry into the Sale of Liquor.  The Commission recommended establishing a permanentcouncil whose aim was to encourage responsible use and minimise misuse.
